Manring

Rafael Reyes was born México,  started playing when he was 7 years old. He was top national junior tennis player and played professionally as well. After his professional career he coached high junior players and professionals for 20 years all around the world. Rafael to this day plays tournaments and competes. He loves the beach, training, traveling, learning and above all he loves his daughter.

Rafael Reyes

Tyler was 1st team all-state at Barron Collier High School in 1997 and state champion at #1 doubles. He was a member of the men's tennis team at Clemson University from 1998-2002. He returned to Barron Collier to coach their tennis team and brought them to the state championship 8 out of his 10 years there. He is a former Naples City champion in both men's open doubles and mixed doubles. Over the last ten years he has been a member of the best doubles team in SWFL with Jose Pastrello.

Tyler Manring

Desislav (Des) Borov is Director of Tennis at Talis Park. After starting teaching in his hometown in Bulgaria, he played competitively in Germany and the UK before moving to Naples in 2008. He taught at Fiddler’s Creek for 5 years and then joined Talis Park in 2019, earning the Director of Tennis position in 2020. Des still enjoys playing competitively in tennis (on the Naples Pro League, captaining one year) and in pickleball (on the Ft. Myers Pro League).

When not playing racquet sports, Des likes spending time with his family, beach volleyball, golf and fishing.

Stelios Gkontsaris

Stelios was born In Thessaloniki, Greece and he was one of the top juniors, reaching number 1 seed under 18’s. He moved to Jackson State University where he was awarded a full scholarship and graduated with a degree in Biology, pre- veterinary in the summer of 2018. That year he received an ALL-conference team award and a MVP award. After college he got a USPTA professional certification. Stelios enjoys going to the beach and spending time with his wife Jasmin and their two cats!

George Spiska

Player

George played singles and doubles at the University of Colorado, where he was also a coach. He moved to Naples in 2011 before winning the men's 5.0 singles at the Naples Clay Championships (2014). He repeated as the men's 5.0 singles champion at the 2017 Naples Clay in May. 

Pablo Tellez is currently a Head Tennis Professional at Quail West Country Club. He has been working at Quail West Country Club for almost 4 years. Before this, he was a Tennis Professional at The Club at Kalea Bay. Pablo played tennis at University of West Florida.

Head tennis professional and Director of tennis at Hideaway Beach Club Marco Island Florida, tennis professional at the lake club in new Canaan Connecticut, coached the Barron collier tennis team 2eight state championships in nine years and runner up at the national high school championships in Louisville Kentucky two years in a row. currently the longest active player playing in the Naples pro league, I've been playing in it since 2001.

Christina Fleischer

Top 10 Florida State junior from the Girl 10 & under through 18 & under. Won the National Florida Open 1997 had multiple scholarship opportunities and chose full scholarship to Clemson University where I played all 4 years was the team captain. Was awarded for the most tiebreakers won during my time at Clemson. Was a USPTA teaching pro at several local country clubs and then became Director of Tennis at Vanderbilt Country club for 5 years. Was named USPTA Women's Open Player of the year in 2006. Currently resides in Naples with her husband Jeff, raising their two kids Farah, age 9 and Luke age 6. Everyone plays tennis and loves the sport and I love playing with my kids!
